Artist In Residence Program
artist in residence program:
CCAS believes studio space is critical for artists and understands the importance of having dedicated space to work in. The AIR (Artist in Residence) program at Create is an intensive day program offered to emerging High School artists that forms a positive network of artists to expand one’s existing practice, work collaboratively, discuss art critically and inspire one another. Each year, CCAS attracts 10 aspiring artists into the AIR program, offering an unparalleled studio experience.
Applicants are selected by the Portfolio Review Committee comprised of a multidisciplinary panel of professionals living in the area. The AIR program offers residencies during the Fall and Spring semesters. Recipients will be awarded dedicated studio space, stipends for art materials and transportation, and the opportunity to exhibit work in Gallery 151.
Students who are enrolled in High School by the Fall of 2018 and reside in Charlevoix and Emmet County would be eligible to apply for Fall Residency.
